The Nestbox for Flickers, Lewis Woodpeckers, Saw-whet Owls, Pigmy Owls & Grackles is
constructed with Red Cedar. Wood stock is rough-cut on both sides so birds can grip
interior and exterior surfaces.
It has a 7" by 7" floor,
16" inside ceiling, 2 1/2" diameter entrance hole located 14" above the
floor. Ventilation openings are in the floor and under the roof.
Hinged roof provides easy access for
monitoring and cleaning. Shutter hooks secure roof in closed position.
Assembled with corrosion resistant
screws. Pilot holes in both primary and secondary work pieces makes for easy
assembly with screwdriver in minutes.

tree in a woodland edge or clearing, however, see specific species pages for Flicker, Pigmy Owl, Saw-Whet Owl,
Grackle, and Lewis Woodpecker habits, ranges, and optimum placement.
Leave a bed of chips in the
house. Birdhouses mounted out of reach should be installed by professionals.
