Some species that nest in bushes, on tree limbs and rock ledges will nest on
wood platforms. Some species are more easily attracted to platforms than other species.
Platform dimensions, mounting heights, locations, habitat, and geographic
regions are based on common, corroborated observations by backyard naturalists.
Platforms should be chosen and mounted with one or only a few species in
mind. Pests and predators need to be detoured. Nesting materials need to be
removed at appropriate intervals between nesting seasons and platforms should be
disinfected to eliminate parasites and disease.

ledges. Resources |
