How many times has your printer delayed or
even prevented you from printing by informing you you're out of ink when you
can clearly see that you're not?
You can save tons on bargain inkjet, laser,
and copier cartridges.
You would think printer manufacturers would realize it isn't
in their best interest to interfere with customer's use of their products, but
that is not the case.
Previously, you could just delete the pop-up that claimed
you
were out of ink. Now, however, some new printers from
major manufacturers won't even let you print. The pop-up simply provides
no way to bypass the "out of ink" pop up. Maybe there is a way
to bypass it by selecting and researching "more information" or "online
help", but who has time to search for a way to
make technology work when there should be an option right in front of you?
The last prints seem to color just fine. And even if
the quality isn't perfect, if one of the tones is actually empty, sometimes
you want a printout no matter what the color quality simply because you've
got a job to. But the manufacturers don't seem to get it.
Shouldn't you be the one to decide whether to continue
printing? You paid for the printer and the ink, didn't you?
What's wrong with manufacturers that design impediments right into their
equipment and software? Is customer satisfaction totally out the
window these days?
And how about the warnings that only their ink cartridges
are suitable? Or that other off brand cartridges may damage the
printer? What do they think? ...we're stupid? ...only they
can mold plastic cartridges in the right shape? ...that generic brand ink is somehow
going to destroy a printer like hydrochloric acid?
And what about waste and the environment? Hasn't
everyone heard about this before? Your
kids get it. Why can't printer manufacturers?
Sorry. You didn't need to be told that. But
guess who does? Tell the major printer manufactures by purchasing
somewhere else.
If you save a ton on inkjet. Their printers will still tell
you that a cartridge is empty before it really is or even prevent you from printing
when it's low, but at least when you're forced to throw it away, you won't
replace it with
another cartridge for $39.99.
